Casein from Sponser® is a protein fraction of milk that is slowly digested and metabolized. Therefore, casein is ideal for sustained protein supply during the night or during rest periods and provides a sustained feeling of satiety.

The micellar casein covers upscale demands and is produced gently and naturally by means of cross-flow microfiltration (CFM). Casein (lat.: caseus: cheese) belongs to the insoluble protein fraction of milk and does not pass into the whey, but is normally processed into cheese. Casein constitutesof different types of protein.

A characteristic feature of casein is its long gastric dwelling time due to its gel-forming property and the concomitant slow flow of amino acids into the bloodstream. For this reason, it is often used as so-called "night protein" and ensures optimal growth and the preservation of muscle mass as well as faster recovery. Casein naturally contains calcium, potassium and phosphorus, which contribute to normal muscle function.
